About
After living my life in interesting times, I decided to switch careers and finally get into the field I’ve loved since I was in my early teens. I know it’s going to be slightly more difficult to break into a new field when I’m over 50, but I have so much to offer a company that’s willing to give me a chance. Because my life hasn’t been a straight path, I’ve picked up invaluable experience that helps me see the world through many different lenses.
I’ve never lost my sense of wonder and curiosity, which means I’m a killer trivia player and liable to toss out odd facts in any conversation. I believe that you should always be ready to laugh, even (especially!) if it’s at yourself. This world is amazing and full of fantastical places to see and wonderful people to meet. It’s far too short to let yourself grow old.
I love to learn and have a knack for breaking complicated topics down into easy to understand pieces. Teaching for over a decade taught me how to present information in a clear, concise way that makes people want to learn more. I’m an extreme introvert who isn’t shy and doesn’t mind talking to an audience. I’ve been thrilled to be learning so much about data science in the last year and will continue my journey until I’ve become the maddest data science of them all!
